Private Lessons

How do I approach the courses? Lessons are always 2 hours. In my experience, shorter than this is not enough to really make progress. Classes are in English or Dutch. They can be online or at my studio situated at the Q Factory in Amsterdam. There are two options:

1. You can have single lessons
2. You follow a 4 class pack

I’m offering an exclusive online personal private lesson tailored solely to you. This setup ensures undivided attention to your music and queries, free from any distractions. Let’s dive deep into your material and ensure you walk away with invaluable insights.

We will have a short intake to see what your wishes are. You are the boss, and you can determine what you want to learn. Evaluated from the intake and our conversations, I will design a curriculum containing 4 classes. Doing four classes provides you a solid path to grow and get deeper into certain topics, while finishing your own music. It could vary from questions about your studio, to coaching about what steps to take regarding your setup.
As mentioned, we can work on your own projects, while I’m teaching you the skills you need. Topics we can tackle are:

  • Ableton
  • Hardware vs software
  • Synthesizers consulting
  • Geavanceerde mixtechnieken
  • Strategieën voor arrangementen
  • Creating grooves and loops
  • Musicality, creativity and depth
  • Studio setup optimization
  • Sound design techniques
  • Midi chain optimization
  • Signal chain optimization
  • Multi tracking

You name it…

As mentioned, classes can take place online and in my studio. There’s a possibility of having me over in your own studio as well. This way I could help you tweak your setup (midi, signal chain, processors and fx) and advise you about the acoustics of your room.

DJ lessons are also available. Be it with vinyl or usb, you can bring your music and start mixing right away. You’ll learn key elements of a DJ set, including beatmatching, phrasing, EQing, gain control, cueing, looping, song structure, track selection, mixing techniques, using vinyl and turntables, using CDJs, reading the crowd, transition techniques and building a set.
